About the Department

The individual in this position is responsible for providing excellent guest service; greeting guests; conducting membership, pass and pro-shop sales, monitoring on ice activities, light custodial duties; and providing information and explanation of services and programs offered by the Recreation Department. This position performs cash handling duties and conducts transactions with a computerized point-of-sale system, and also coordinates equipment needs, performs facility checks, and handles facility reservations.

Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 16 years of age or older.
- Must have received a High School diploma or GED, or must be currently enrolled in High School/GED program.
- Must have one (1) or more years of customer service experience.
- One (1) or more years of cash handling experience required.
- Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
- One (1) or more years of experience working in a recreation facility preferred.
- One (1) or more years of retail experience preferred.
- Intermediate or higher level ice skating skills desired.
- Knowledge and/or experience with organized hockey and/or figure skating programs desired.
- Candidates with availability to work daytime shifts during the week and weekend shifts, and who have flexibility to work two (2) or more shifts per week are desired.
Other Qualifications
Hiring Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Primary shifts for this position are typically six to eight (6-8) hours in length and generally include weekends, holidays, days, and nights between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and midnight, and a typical schedule of 10 to 20 hours per week, with additional hours as needed. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability; and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
