Senior Accountant Position Summary:

As we grow our company, we are actively adding a Senior Accountant Positionto our expanding Corporate team, reporting to the Controller. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for career and personal development within a growing organization. You’ll work directly with experienced leaders from AEA Investors, Bain & Company, Lidl, Wawa, L’Oreal, and CVS, gaining full exposure to what it takes to scale a high-growth business. Responsibilities:

·       Ownership of the management of the fixed asset process: From purchase to pay to placing the asset in service, including but not limited to the following:

o   Assist in the role out of a fixed asset module in the Sage Intacct Accounting System

o   Recording CIP at the site level, placing the CIP in service

o   Ensuring the fixed asset subledger agrees to the general ledger; preparation of a monthly FARF

·       Managing the Lease Accounting needs of the organization: This includes preparing monthly journal entries under the guidance of ASC842, data gathering, abstraction, lease modifications and assisting in the implementation of Lease Accounting Software.

·       Assist with Treasury Management: Managing cash balances, recording intercompany cash activity, bank reconciliations and intercompany reconciliations.

·       Balance Sheet Analytics:  Assist the Controller in preparation of a monthly BS review package with focus on the areas of fixed asset accounting, leases, and cash.

·       Closing Processes: Leads the fixed asset and lease closing process; responsible for coding all entries including GL code and location.

·       Ad Hoc requests: Assist with requests for information or analytics as needed for both the annual audit and day-to-day operations.

 

Requirements

Desired Skills, Education, & Experience:

·       Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Fixed Asset Accounting; including placing assets in service from CIP

·       Prior experience with Lease Accounting (ASC 842)

·       Exposure to Treasury Accounting and Management

·       Previous experience working in Sage Intacct is highly preferred

  • Having worked in an environment with multiple sites, locations, and intercompany exposure
  • Strong Excel skills, pivot tables, v & h lookups, downloading data and being able to sort it

·       The need and want to grow in the role while taking ownership of the role

·       Excellent communication, a strong TEAM (Together Each Accomplishes More) player

·       Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment

·       Highly organized and meticulous

·       A positive attitude and willingness to roll up your sleeves
