THE POSITION:
As a TL of Loss Prevention, you will:
- Awareness & Prevention:
- Communicates, trains, and educates security and loss prevention programs and strategies.
- Assists with maintenance and update of loss prevention-based system for Goodwill. Systems include but not limited to alarm, fire, LP Software (LPMS), LP Software (CAMS), Brivo access control, and Digital Video Recorders & Cameras.
- Analyze and review of Point of Sales, WESA, overnight donor theft report, GPS audits, and Over Short reports for suspicious activity and providing further research to determine potential loss or exposure to loss.
- Facility Protection and Corporate Security:
- Leads, trains and supports all efforts of facility key control, fobs (access control) and alarm systems while providing recommendations, implementation, and enforcement of all security procedures.
- Communicates and trains physical security procedures to all team members including Corporate Campus/administration offices staff with respect to their security responsibilities.
- Manage the integrity of the physical security system. This system includes all devices locks, keys, alarms systems, tumbler changes, duplication and issue of keys (including vehicles) and security alarm codes.
- Investigations & Case Management:
- Effectively utilize Loss Prevention systems to support efficiency.
- Conducts investigations, detains, and interviews individuals apprehended for shoplifting and internal theft in accordance with Goodwill guidelines and SOPs.
- Must ensure to follow established interviewing techniques, guidelines, and disposition to obtain appropriate documentation for successful case closure.
- Prepares investigative reports in a timely fashion for review and distribution.
- Partnership:
- Partners with stake holders/ different appropriate department leaders and manages process to ensure that all open cases are closed timely.
- Monitors and utilizes Loss Prevention Support (LP Support) Helpdesk system to address, triage, and resolves issues and departmental requests in a timely fashion per Service Level Agreement (SLA) timelines.
- Monitors Digital Video Recording at designated facilities and communicates operational/placement/quality issues.
- Respond and assist to all critical incidents and emergency response situations including communication, problem solving, and remediation.
- Training:
- Quality of LP related consulting support, measured by the ability to handle independently and appropriately, following applicable standards and focusing on leadership/program development.
- Ensures 100% customer satisfaction and buy-in while delivering training.
- Conducts new hire orientation as it relates to LP and supports Safety training as assigned.
- Attends and participates in weekly, monthly and quarterly team meetings at corporate and store level.
- Supports Leadership by providing feedback and coaching while in the field.

THE QUALIFICATIONS:
- One-on-one and group training and facilitation methods and techniques
- Operation, maintenance and monitoring of CCTV systems

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
- 6-10 years: Retail Loss Prevention experience in a multi-unit capacity preferred
- LPC certification preferred or obtained within 1 year of employment
- Minimum 5 years: CCTV, Burglar, Fire alarm Maintenance/Monitoring technical skills
- Access Control (Key & Lock Systems / Electronic systems)
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (preference to Criminal Justice program)
- Wicklander Zulawski Interview and Interrogation certification preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Incumbent must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to drive a privately owned vehicle to travel throughout the Goodwill territory to visit stores and locations, on a regular and recurring basis. Thus, having a privately owned reliable means of transportation is a requirement of this job.
- Occasionally and only under special circumstances, incumbents may be required to drive a company vehicle.
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights and weekends to meet the needs of the organization.
- This position is safety-sensitive and requires drug testing
- This role may require access to facility keys and alarm systems
