Primary Responsibilities
· Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, risks, and opportunities
· Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger as part of the monthly close process
· Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
· Develop, maintain, and improve financial reports, models, and dashboards to support business decisions
· Collaborate with departments to gather data and understand operational drivers impacting financial results
· Perform account reconciliations including cash, payroll, accounts payable, and other general ledger accounts
· Resolves purchase order issues and discrepancies in the purchase order clearing account.
· Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial transactions and compliance with internal controls
· Codes invoices and helps to maintain the chart of accounts
· Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are
charged to the appropriate accounts.
· Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform
annual audits.
· Files tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies.
· Coordinates with software vendor to maintain accounting software systems.
· Remain current on financial best practices, healthcare finance trends, and regulatory changes
· Attend staff meetings as needed.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
· Required: Bachelors degree in Accounting, or related field
· Required: At least four years of relevant financial analysis and accounting experience
· Required: Pass Fit Test if required
· Required: Meet all Employee Health Requirement
