Maintenance Technician – Residential Home Services
We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Maintenance Technician to help ensure the quality of our over 20 group homes located throughout the Metro Area. Work would include handling general home maintenance issues, such as basic HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and cosmetic repairs (painting, wall touch-ups, etc.) The ideal candidate would be a self-starter with a strong work ethic, solid troubleshooting skills, and the ability to manage tasks independently.

Our services include waiver case management, community living services, care coordination, respite care, and community-based residential programs.
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours per week)
Using a ticketing system to manage and prioritize incoming maintenance and repair requests across multiple residential properties
Conducting routine inspections and general maintenance of over 20 homes throughout the metro area
Performing cosmetic repairs, including painting, drywall patching, trim work, and minor touch-ups
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other home maintenance areas
Completing basic electrical repairs, such as fixing outlets, switches, and light fixtures
Handling plumbing tasks, including unclogging drains, repairing leaks, and replacing faucets or fixtures
Conducting light HVAC maintenance, including filter replacements and basic troubleshooting
Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues and service requests
Coordinating with external vendors or contractors for specialized work when necessary
Maintaining accurate records of completed work, materials used, and time spent
Managing tools and materials inventory; ordering parts and supplies as needed
Handling basic money management tasks related to purchasing supplies for repairs, including uploading receipts and invoices on an online platform
Ensuring workspaces and homes are left clean, safe, and in good condition
Remaining flexible and available to assist with emergency maintenance situations
Communicating clearly and respectfully with residents and team members, including the ability to explain technical issues in a way that is understandable to non-technical staff

- Two years of experience in professional maintenance duties and use of common hand and power tools (Preference for three or more years of experience)
- Background Clearance through the Department of Human Services
- Valid Driver’s License. Must have and maintain a clean driving record per company policy
- Proficient in speaking, comprehending, reading, and writing English
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must be physically capable of performing job-related tasks such as prolonged standing, lifting heavy items, snow removal, hand scrubbing/scraping of floors, etc
- Ability to operate a company automobile
- Ability to perform physical tasks requiring bending at the waist, twisting, lifting, and carrying loads up to 50 pounds
