About the Department
The purpose of this class is to perform standard administrative work supporting a functional area within assigned College department or function.
Position Duties
Bachelor's degree and two years of full time experience in administration, student outreach, marketing and /or community outreach. Or an Associate's degree and four years of full time experience in administration, student outreach, marketing and /or community outreach.
Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field. Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
Minimum Qualifications
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures and/or initiatives.
- Identify resources and tools that can assist others with their individual needs.
- Conduct workshops and presentations, as required.
- Provide academic advisement services, as required.
- Serve on appropriate departmental, division and college-wide committees.
- Maintains department records and files, as required.
- Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
- Advise and work with students.

Other Qualifications
- Identify, profile and develop outreach strategies for students.
- Assess candidates' eligibility for grants, contracts and open enrollment programs based on interests, aptitudes, skill levels, and suitability.
- Track, input and monitor student placement and program progress information in databases and tracking mechanisms, ensuring up-to-date data reporting.
- Work with CCBC staff to evaluate students' skills and aptitudes for program enrollment.
- Plan and implement outreach/recruiting strategies that results in achieving enrollment goals.
- Track calls, student progress and outreach goals in college databases for outcome reporting.
- Work directly with leadership to manage program outcomes.
- Fulfill data entry needs and administrative paperwork for class assignments and the logistics of the intake process.
- Maintain relationships with community groups and organizations to recruit students for courses and programs.
- Coordinate and conduct information sessions and recruiting events, as needed.
