JOB SUMMARY:
The HR Intern will support the HR department in various analytical and administrative functions. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience and start a career in human resources. The HR Intern will assist in data management, reporting, and process improvement initiatives to enhance HR.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the administration of monthly and quarterly distribution center incentives.
- Support the administration of Hourly DC compensation.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data to support decision-making processes.
- Support the preparation and maintenance of HR reports and dashboards.
- Conduct research on HR best practices and industry trends to inform policies and programs.
- Respond to inquiries from employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in accrual processes of incentives and other related programs.
- Assist in entering employee personal information into HR tools and systems.
- Stay current with new technologies and apply knowledge to enhance processes.
- Collaborate with HR team members on various projects aimed at improving HR processes and systems and suggest improvements.
- Assist the HR department in preparing for audits.
- Maintain organized records and documentation.
- Support ad-hoc requests and perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Working knowledge of SharePoint, and Power BI a plus.

- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn about HR practices and processes.
- Excellent judgment and conflict management skills.
- Experience in database, data analytics, and visualization tools is a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Physical demands are consistent with a professional office setting.
- Regular sitting at workstation for 25 – 75% of the work shift.
- Frequent standing and walking.
