The Warehouse Manager is responsible for ensuring and improving the performance and quality of material movement to production and all warehouse shipping receiving operations.


Pay Range: $105,000 - $125,000 per year + Bonus

Hours: 7:00 am - 4:00 pm

Schedule: Five (5) days per week
(may include weekends)

Location: Fresno, CA

Travel Requirements: None

Work Environment: On-site


Core Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and direction to the employees in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Foster a spirit of teamwork and unity among department members that allows for disagreement over ideas, conflict and expeditious conflict resolution, and the appreciation of diversity as well as cohesiveness, supportiveness, and working effectively together to enable each employee and the department to succeed.
  • Train all new employees in all aspects of the job within the department and ensure cross training is in place and reviewed for progress with leadership team.
  • Maintain all areas/equipment/products in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
  • Review the plants for cleanliness and organization and coach up infractions with leads.
  • Provide regular feedback to Director on employee issues and any new ideas for more effective operations.
  • Ensure employees adhere to all company policies and GMP procedures.
  • Participate in all material movement functions to facilitate the most efficient activity flow for the team and processes.
  • Investigate all incidents and process let downs to properly identify root cause and implement corrective actions.
  • Remain engaged with all QC/QA communications and requests to assure proper compliance.
  • Assist in compliance audits with regulatory agencies (FDA, SQF, WDACP, USDA, OSHA, EPA).
  • Maintain accurate storage and item information.
  • Maintain consistent cycle count program for both RM and FG facilities.
  • Plan and allocate resources to effectively staff and accomplish the work to meet departmental productivity and quality goals.
  • Monitor lab shipment or sample needs and make sure requests are handled in a timely manner.
  • Review daily adjustments from both warehouse and receiving locations.
  • Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned by upper management.
  • Implement, maintain, and spot check process SOP’s

Requirements


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Have a positive constructive working relationship with all campus management and employees.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices.
  • Review performance data that includes financial, sales, and activity reports and spreadsheets, to monitor and measure departmental productivity, goal achievement, and overall effectiveness.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; developing, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Make recommendations to leadership group for process improvement opportunities.
  • Follows safety rules, regulations, and instructions as issued.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5 - 7 years’ experience in Warehousing and/or Food Manufacturing / Distribution environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree preferred/High School or equivalent.
