Job Summary 


We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our growing accounting department. This role will be responsible for performing core accounting functions including month-end closing, journal entries and account reconciliations. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a strong understanding of GAAP and accounting best practices. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager.


Key Responsibilities

  • Recording and reconciling cash transactions for multiple companies
  • Support monthly-close for multiple companies
  • Preparation of journal entries in a variety of areas
  • Preparation of account reconciliations with relevant supporting documentation
  • Support in reporting and analyzing financial information monthly
  • Ad hoc reporting and projects as needed, supporting the Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller and Director of Accounting
  • Provides assistance with accounting information to other internal departments as needed.
  • Assist with year-end audit preparation to external auditors.
  • Complies with all company policies and standards

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills enabling simultaneous management of multiple projects
  • Demonstrates strong analytical capabilities, allowing for timely, accurate, and detail-focused problem-solving and innovative thinking
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a team-orientated mindset
  • Willingness to learn and grow professionally

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of US GAAP
  • Advanced excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
