Description
The Sales Trainer facilitates ISG-related sales training and development programs to improve new and existing team members' skills and performance. Trainings are home services related like wireless internet, phones, TV, security services, etc.
Essential Functions:
- Act as an advisor to offer and support specific training programs to help workers maintain or improve job skills.
- Assess training needs through survey results, employee interviews, focus groups, or consultation with sales managers.
- Coordinate training activities.
- Adjust curriculum and training resources based on data and observations.
- Evaluate modes of training delivery to optimize training effectiveness, training costs, and organizational impact.
- Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or helping others improve their knowledge or skills.
- Obtain, organize, and develop training procedure manuals, guides, or course materials, such as handouts or visual materials.
- Present and train information with various instructional techniques or formats, such as role-playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, modules, and lectures.
- Additional responsibilities and tasks as necessary.
Requirements
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education
· High School Diploma
Training Requirements (licenses, programs, or certificates)
· Certification from a credible training organization (preferred)
Knowledge/ Skills Requirements
· Business Acumen
· Professionally communicate with others through oral expression, oral comprehension, speech clarity, speech recognition, and written comprehension.
· Teaching courses and design to adult learners
Experience
· At least one year of progressive sales experience
· 1-2 years of sales training experience (preferred)
Other Information:
Physical Requirements
· This is a position that stands or sits for prolonged periods. Mobility and ability to navigate the training room space. Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
Work Environment
· This job operates in a professional office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
