Key Responsibilities
- Manages pick ticket orders
- Pulls warehouse items from the shelves based on number, size, color, quantity, and quality requirements
- Ensures that orders are accurate
- Stages items correctly for delivery to production or outside packagers
- Operates handling equipment and ensures safety regulations are followed
- Plans and monitors product storage
- Oversees stock replenishment
- Monitors stock control systems and processes specific orders
- Ensures warehouse goals are met
- Maintains a high level of health and safety standards
- Packs warehouse orders as necessary
- Operates scanners so that the proper order is picked, and inventory is managed accurately
- Prepares and reviews for accuracy all bills of lading on shipments.
- Routes orders to meet the company’s and customers’ requirements.
- Tracks and expedites outbound shipments with carriers. Schedules truck line and other carrier pickups and distribution.
- Maintains records such as (but not limited to) invoices and vendor receipts. Verifies shippers’ rates and resolve issues.
- Processes normal and special shipments.
- Coordinates inventory and participates in physical inventories.
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

- Effectively communicates information and responds to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, the general public, and other employees of the organization.
- Maintains confidentiality and uses discretion with business information.
- Reads and understands documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Writes routine reports and correspondence.
- Adds, subtracts, multiplies, and divides numbers (using currency and other forms of measurement).
- Utilizes common-sense understanding in order to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Deals with problems involving several known variables in situations of routine nature.
- Plans the time, method, manner, and/or performance sequence of own work; may also occasionally assist in planning work assignments performed by others within a limited area of operation.
- Frequently makes decisions of both minor and major importance, which may affect the work operations of other employees and/or clientele to a moderate degree.
- Completes some moderately repetitive tasks.
- Uses noncomplex machines and equipment (adding machines, calculators, copy/fax machines, etc.).
- Experience working with an RF Scanner (required).
- Keen attention to detail

- Ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment
- Ability to operate an electric pallet jack, joey, or forklift.
- Ability to work well on a team but be self-motivated and independent at times
- Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs
- Equivalent of four years of high school (required).
- Three to five years of relevant education or experience in inventory management, logistics, or a related field (required).
- Intermediate: Word processing, database.
- Basic: Alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet.
