Our childcare center is in search of qualified workers to help monitor and lead activities throughout the day. This job will help you develop excellent skills and techniques that can benefit you in both your personal life and in future careers in child development.
We are seeking to employ an Infant Toddler Childcare Teacher(s) in our Brockton branch location.
Part time positions are hourly shifts range between 6:45 am and 5:30 pm.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Teacher will plan and implement a program of activities which will ensure each child’s personal safety while providing enrichment, physical challenges and learning experiences. The Infant Toddler Teacher will uphold the employee code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y, and the regulating agency.
PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITY:
- Understand and ensure EEC regulations and NAEYC standards as well as Old Colony Y policies (Child and Youth Care policy, Child Guidance Policy, Health Care Policy) are maintained at all times.
- Plan, develop, and implement the program curriculum in accordance with EEC regulations, NAEYC standards and Old Colony YMCA’S policies.
- Gear the lesson plans to the needs of individual children with concern for their interests, abilities and needs, special talents, cultural diversity, and individual style and pace of learning.
- Leadership of daily activities as well as classroom arrangement, appearance and overall learning environment.
