Job Title: Navy Technician II
Reports To: Technician Supervisor

Position Summary: The Navy Technician II will be responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, inspection and reassembly of highly complex systems. These systems include turbines, pumps, and gearboxes and require detailed tight tolerance assembly for maximum performance. Responsibilities will include assembly and disassembly per work instructions, cleaning of components to like new condition, inspection of hardware to stated requirements, and hydrostatic testing to ensure proper fitment and functionality.
Key Results Areas:
1. Ensure assembly and tests of the product are per specification and meet all quality requirements.
2. Collaborate with all departments to ensure that information and data transfers effectively to meeting customer needs and organizational objectives.
3. Ensure safety of the employees and quality of the products throughout all processes.
4. Continuously improve procedures, processes and methods to ensure quality with zero defects and excursions.
Qualifications:
To qualify for this position, an individual must possess the knowledge, training, experience and abilities required.
Education and Training:
- At least four years of equivalent experience with electro-mechanical technical assemblies and tests in a manufacturing, engineering, or research and development environment.
Required Skills:
To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:
- Facilities and equipment maintenance exposure.
- Ability to disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble equipment or machinery parts.
- Proficient in using meters, gauges, torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and other precision measurement tools.
- Understand complex technical documents to perform accurate maintenance.
- Familiarity with company or industry overhaul protocols and quality standards.
- OSHA, EPA, or industry-specific safety standards.

- Physical demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is primarily required to sit, stand, walk, stop, bend, inspect facilities, climb ladders and roofs, and other high-risk areas. Required to speak and communicate clearly with others. Occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Corrected vision to 20/20 or adequate and ability to identify and distinguish colors. Hearing ability sufficient to safely perform essential functions and be aware of audible hazards/warnings. May involve physical tasks such as conduction inspections and audits, responding to emergencies, or implementing safety protocols.
- Mental demands: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is required to read, write, analyze data and reports, exercise judgment, develop plans, procedures and goals, present information to others and work under pressure.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is exposed to a high level of manufacturing and equipment noise. Duties are performed outdoors and indoors in a manufacturing environment with temperature changes. Exposure to hazardous materials, fumes, dust, odors, airborne particles and moving mechanical parts with vibration. Office and on-site inspections of facility areas.

Compensation and Benefits:
The hourly range for this role is $29.00 to $32.00, This range represent the anticipated minimum and maximum base + bonus for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate. The final compensation for this position will be set based on the applicant’s qualifications (education, training and/or experience related to this role), and therefore, may fall outside the range shown, depending on the circumstances.
