About This Opportunity
As the Director, MD Curriculum and Assessment, you’ll enable the continuous improvement of the MD Program. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of medical education through strategic leadership, innovative pedagogy, and collaborative engagement.
You’ll lead a passionate team to ensure high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment across the distributed medical program. From convening the MD Program Committee to overseeing assessment practices and mentoring staff, your impact will be felt across the entire student journey.
This continuing position is offered at Academic Level D or E and can be appointed on a part-time (minimum 0.7FTE) or full-time basis.

About You
Medical Qualification and eligibility for registration as a medical practitioner in Australia
Completion of a PhD in medical or health professional education; or equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Evidence of an exceptional level of quality teaching at undergraduate, honours and/or postgraduate level across a variety of settings, including small and large groups.
National recognition for contributions towards learning, teaching and pedagogical practices, with a sustained record of outstanding impact in education.
An established record of contributing to curriculum design.
A strong record of meaningful internal service roles, including the successful mentoring of less experienced staff, in conjunction with evidence of leadership in external activities.
Additional Criteria for Level E:
International recognition for contributions towards learning, teaching and pedagogical practices, with a sustained record of outstanding impact in education.
You must maintain unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this appointment to apply.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia, criminal check, education check, AHPRA registration and mandatory immunisations.
