Faculty Full-Time



The position of EMS Instructor has 174 contractual days, including 6 paid holidays. The starting compensation is $63,425.88-$70,117.77.

As the Full-Time EMS Instructor, you will be facilitating learning using the most up to date pedagogy, technology, and discipline specific knowledge. All faculty are responsible for teaching in all modalities and keeping current in new modalities that develop in higher education. Although facilitating learning is the most important role of the faculty, the needs of learners are also served when faculty are engaged in service to the college and student support activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

Commensurate with State of Oregon requirements of respective academic and/or technical field: For EMS faculty, this includes the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree 
  • Oregon EMT License or higher. (Paramedic License may be required)
  • National EMS Education Instructor 1 Certification or equivalent
  • Three years of experience in emergency medicine / prehospital care
  • Current American Hearth Authority BLS CPR Instructor
  • Successful completion of a criminal history clearance.
  • Successful completion of a healthcare drug screening.
  • Immunizations as outlined by the Oregon Health Authority.
  • Proficiency with instructional and industry technology within 6 months (i.e., word processing, e-mail, learning management system, digital and social media, zoom and other online meeting platforms).

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

  • Licensed Oregon Paramedic
  • Bachelor's degree
  • NREMT EMT license or higher.
