The Napa County Office of Education (NCOE) is a public agency that provides academic services and enrichment opportunities for students, teachers and the community, as well as critical business services for school districts. Job Summary

The person in this position needs to have knowledge of typical and atypical speech and language development, dual language acquisition; the ability to work and collaborate in a team, and to consult with staff in inclusive/integrated therapy classrooms. Qualified candidate needs to have the ability to effectively assess preschoolers, determine eligibility, and develop and implement effective speech-language intervention programs.

Requirements / Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Clear Credential in Clinical Services or California Speech-Language Pathology License or American Speech Language Hearing Association Verification of Certification Letter (last 2 options enable person to apply for a Clear Credential).

• Experience working with preschool-aged children with a variety of disabilities is required. Experience with alternative/augmentative communication (AAC) and providing services within inclusive preschool settings is preferred. Bilingual (Spanish/English) fluency is desirable, but not mandatory.

*Salary placement is dependent upon education and years of work experience. Medical, vision and dental insurance benefits are available for employee and their family members, CAL STRS retirement system
