Role Purpose
Responsible for supporting the delivery of the Managing Agents Project for the effective and efficient management of a portfolio of external managing agents. This role has oversight; management and reporting of the compliance certification for third party owners and managing agents for schemes where our residents live.
Offer guidance and support to internal colleagues in respect of A2Dominions contractual relationship with external managing agents with reference to the headlease and current legislation.
Key responsibilities/deliverables
* Ensure managing agents and third-party owners are providing us with the relevant health & safety and compliance certification
* Improve working relationships to set up effective and efficient working practices in the best interests of A2Dominion
* Hold regular meetings with key stakeholders in relation to performance and working practices
* Report on performance and compliance for third party owners and managing agents
* Create and manage the necessary dashboards to show compliance and highlight risks
* Ensure all data received is stored effectively and compliant with our systems
* Use data to identify, evaluate and implement service improvements to increase resident satisfaction and value for money
* Work collectively with other members of the project team to ensure compliance, and visibility and accessibility to information
* Represent the managing agent team at respective committee’s and forums – H&S Executive Committee, EMT, Building Safety Forum
* Provide advice and guidance to all internal and external stakeholders
* Provide assistance and support to other roles in the team to cover staff shortages or high level demand.
More about you:
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (Grades A*- C)
* Hold (or working towards) a professional qualification such as RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), ARLA Property mark, TPI (The Property Institute (Formerly IRPM)), or CIH (Chartered Institute of Housing).
* Good understanding of leasehold block management in the private sector and working with managing agents both directly employed and appointed by superior landlords
* Good understanding of relevant laws and regulations surrounding compliance.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and colleagues.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines and targets.
* High attention to detail
* Accurate interpretation of financial data / service charge statements
* Able to prioritise and work in an organised manner
