Riverside Research is looking for a Facility Security Officer with the practical experience to apply their knowledge of government security requirements in a manner that supports mission accomplishment while maintaining compliance. Responsibilities:
- Interpret, communicate, apply, and enforce Government, customer and company security policies and provide direction and guidance to assigned personnel for all security matters
- Apply security requirements in a manner that gains employee support and strikes a balance to jointly enable efficient office mission accomplishment while maintaining compliance
- Interface professionally with company leadership, Govt and business customers, and visitors
- Foster teamwork and collaborate with other security, information technology, information security and facility team members
- Establish positive working relationships with our employees, Government customers and security community professionals
- Interface with management and liaison with US Government security officers
- Perform as the sole security officer responsible for maintaining security accreditations and approvals necessary to keep the facility operational to meet mission requirements
- Initiate background investigation requests (including fingerprinting) using NBIS
- Working knowledge and experience with NISS and DISS software
- Administer the security education, training, and awareness program for assigned employees
- Communicate with local guard response companies and be on call list to respond to the facility’s intrusion alarm activations in accordance with Govt security requirements
- Understand contracts, SOW's (statement of work) and DD254's and task orders to determine security requirements
- Provide day-to-day administration and oversight of classified activities, develop local policy, perform self-inspections, and maintain continuous control over all media
- Provide prime/subcontractor security support and direction including the development and maintenance of DD254's, security guidance, and classified holdings
- Develop and revise security plans, procedures, instructions, and educational material
- Provide classification guidance to program personnel, conduct security briefings, participate in self-inspections and audits, and investigate security incidents
- Comprehensive knowledge of the design and execution of security programs in according with DoDM 5220.22, 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), DODM 5105.21, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Administrative Security Manual, Executive Orders (EO) 12968, 12829, and 13526, and Intelligence Community Directives (ICD’s) 703, 704, 705
- Ability to manage time, make sound decisions, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions
- Provide other security services including Personnel Security, Physical Security, Communications Security (COMSEC), Document Control and Visitor Control
- Other duties as assigned
- A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience working in Government or with industry contractor companies
- Active TS/SCI required
- Defense Counterintelligence Security Agency FSO with possessing curriculum completion
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
- DARPA experience
