Overview:Regional People & Culture Director – North America
Location: Dayton, OH – On-site 3–4 days/week
Beontag is seeking a strategic, hands-on People & Culture Director Director to lead all Human Resources activities across our North American operations, with a primary base at our manufacturing site in Dayton, Ohio. This role will also oversee additional plants located in Dayton, Indiana, and CFO. It plays a critical role in driving our people strategy, building organizational capabilities, and shaping a strong, engaged, performance-driven, and inclusive culture.
As part of the global HR leadership team and reporting to the Global People & Culture Director, this role will act as a strategic business partner to senior leaders in North America and serve as a key connection point between local operations and corporate HR. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced, industrial environment and feel comfortable working closely with frontline employees, shop floor leaders, and executive teams (CEO, VPs, and GMs).
This position will support both of Beontag’s North American businesses: GLM (Graphic and Label Materials) and DTE (Digital Transformation Enabler).
Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead core HR functions across North America such as Organizational Development, Employee Relations, Payroll, and Compliance.
- Partner with COE’s leaders (Talent Acqusition, Internal Communication, Comp & Ben).
- Act as a strategic advisor to business leadership, providing guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and people-related decisions.
- Foster a culture of high performance, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.
- Coach and develop local leadership, building managerial capabilities and succession pipelines.
- Lead and mentor the local HR team, ensuring alignment with business needs and global HR standards.
- Drive regional implementation of global HR initiatives, including performance management, engagement, culture, and DE&I efforts.
- Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations and internal HR policies.
- Monitor and analyze HR KPIs (turnover, headcount, engagement, cost of labor, etc.), implementing actions to improve performance.
- Be physically present on the shop floor (3–4 days/week) to maintain strong connections with hourly employees and frontline teams.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field required;
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership or multi-site role.
- Strong experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, with close partnership with plant and shop floor operations.
- Proven ability to lead HR teams and act as a strategic partner to senior leadership.
- Solid understanding of U.S. labor law and HR compliance standards.
- Experience managing HR processes such as talent development, performance management, compensation planning, and organizational change.
- Willingness to travel within the region (up to 30%).
Preferred Qualications:
- Master's or MBA preferred.
- Experience in global or multicultural companies is a strong plus.
