Marksman Security Corporation is now seeking a Assistant Director of Security.

The Assistant Director of Security will assist with overseeing security personnel, ensuring the site is properly staffed and officers are trained and motivated. The Assistant Director of Security will also work closely with the client contact to achieve goals and objectives set forth by Marksman Security and the association.

 

Ideal candidates will have previous experience in corrections, law enforcement, military security, account management, unarmed guard/officer experience and or other related fields.

Responsibilities:

 

Direct staff in maintaining a quality, customer service orientated environment specifically
designed for the protection of persons, property and assets. Actively patrols interior and
exterior property responding to and reporting on unusual events.

 

  • Provide daily direction to all staff and ensure adequate personnel are present to
    carry out requisite components of program. Verify that all personnel perform
    their duties effectively and accurately. Patrol interior and exterior property on
    foot or by vehicle. Demonstrate relevant proficiency in the knowledge of the
    premises
  • Promote a professional environment demonstrating a consistent, positive
    customer service approach in all situations including professional demeanor,
    wearing required uniform and/or personal protective gear and obeying traffic
    regulations to complement and enhance program effectiveness.
  • Complete administrative functions of location including vehicle maintenance,
    equipment inventory, payroll and employee records, licensure and reports.
    Maintain documentation and administer required internal and external training
    per Client, Company and governmental criterion
  • Observe and formally report any unusual incidents, tenant violations, workplace
    hazards and suspicious activities in a timely, accurate and legible fashion. Ensure
    required reports as submitted by staff are accurate and timely
  •  Administer personnel related duties including staff development, hiring,
    scheduling, performance appraisals and documentation, terminations and all
    required documentation
  • Evaluate staff response to client, tenant or patron requests for services.
  • Coordinate responses by civil authorities to appropriate situations.
  • Other related duties as assigned including leading assigned investigations and
    assuming responsibilities of Manager in their absence.

DESIRABLE BACKGROUND:

• A combination of formal education, training and skills possessed by an individual with a high
school education, or its equivalency.
• Solid, verifiable work history and a minimum of three years’ experience in a property
protection or related security environment coupled with progressive managerial or senior
level supervisory experience.
• No felony or aggravated misdemeanor convictions, valid State Driver License, and in
possession of/or have applied for appropriate State Private Security Guard registration.
• Working knowledge of law enforcement procedures, civil law, criminal law or
security/investigative procedures, training programs and personnel administration.
• Physically mobile and in possession of senses to successfully perform requirements of
position which consist of a combination of climbing stairs, standing, patrolling both indoors
and outdoors and driving a vehicle for the duration of each shift.
• May be required to use handcuffs, operate a two-way radio.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with the public and staff effectively and tactfully.
