Rate of Pay: TBD for the 2025-2026 school year. Currently $17.88 per hour.
Schedule: Follows the board approved school calendar.
Insurance: Generous Health, dental, and vision contribution from the district.
PERS Retirement: The district assumes and pays the 6% average employee contribution to the Oregon PERS system.

Function:
Under the direction of the principal, the BRC paraprofessional will provide direct support to
students experiencing behavior dysregulation. The paraprofessional will provide support in
coping and self-regulation strategies, reinforce skills needed to be successful in the general
education environments, and participate as a member of the school behavior team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate an understanding and receptive attitude toward students of varied age
- groups
- Implement assigned behavioral interventions and/or methodologies in collaboration with
- the principal and behavior team
- Provide assistance with de-escalating student behaviors and administer one-to-one
- intensive behavior intervention to students
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students and adults
- Collect data in regard to behavior in order to evaluate student performance and
- progress, the effectiveness of interventions, strategies, and support, and contribute to
- future plans
- Assist the classroom teacher in all aspects of classroom instruction and behavior support
- Implement a Behavior Strategic Plan/Behavior Intervention Plan and prescribed behavior
- strategies.
- Attend all mandatory meetings and mandatory professional development (Behavior,
- PASS, CPI) required for this position
Requirements:
Associate’s Degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing prior to employment; High school
diploma/equivalent;
Experience working with children with disabilities
