Family Worker - EHS - Children's Corner

Responsibilities:
- Outreach and Recruitment of Children
- Assess needs of center-based families, facilitate referrals and follow-up of referrals
- Develop and maintain linkage with community agencies
- Accompany center-based parents to fair hearing and other related appointments as interpreters
- Assist with meetings, workshops/training and special events
- Assist with Policy Council parents
- Assist with the implementation of the program evaluation process
- Provide support in implementation of parent volunteer program
- Attend meetings, workshops on and off site
- Participate in supplemental training as required
- Work with the parents of children with special needs, attend case conferences and do follow-ups
- Maintain confidential child files with complete and up to date data/ documentation
- Complete all written documentation in a timely manner
- Assist in the classrooms when needed
- Maintain a small home visiting caseload of pregnant women
- Maintain a small home visiting caseload of children birth to three years old
- Perform general office duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Human Development or related field with knowledge of child development (birth to three) required
- Experience working with children and families
- Spanish/English preferred
- Computer Skills
Work Schedule: Full time, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm, 35 hours per week
