Description

SUMMARY:

Provides exceptional customer service by quickly responding to machine lights and ensuring that gaming machines are in good working order. Provides instruction to customers on how to play electronic casino games. Performs all functions in accordance with applicable laws and gaming regulations, as well as established policies, procedures and controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include the following:

The following is a list of the main duties/responsibilities. However, other duties may be assigned as deemed necessary by reporting senior.

  • Anticipates customer needs by continually searching for lights and/or customer in need of assistance.
  • Understands how to play all electronic games and explains how to play to customers.
  • Follows casino guidelines in logging in, using and returning secure machine keys.
  • Clears paper jams, reboots games, changes printer paper, retrieve jammed bills or tickets and prints out jackpot tickets.
  • Cleans the interior of games and performs other in-house maintenance procedures.
  • Accesses machine game history, computer servers and prints game reports.
  • Understands and describes mechanical problems to vendors and completes vendors and maintenance logs.
  • Ensures and continually checks to insure all games are locked and in working order.
  • Identifies and reports any floor or gaming irregularities or attempts to or damage gaming equipment to management on duty.
  • Helps create an environment of entertainment, excitement and fun.
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of all aspects of casino operations and current casino promotions.
  • Assists with new team member training by positively reinforcing successful performance and giving respectful and encouraging coaching as needed.
  • Performs repairs on machines, game conversions and removal and installations, trains new Team Members and keeps a parts inventory.
  • Contributes to positive team environment by recognizing alarms or changes in team member morale and performance and communicating to the manager/supervisor and/or Manager on Duty.
  • Delivers remarkable Customer Service to all customers and team members using a great attitude and interactive personal skills.
  • Treat all guests in a manner to ensure their complete satisfaction. Always strive to exceed our guests’ expectations.
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
  • Complete daily logs.
  • Scheduling Gaming Commission compliance and Vendor techs to come onsite for repairs.
  • Reports machine problems to management and vendors.
  • May be required to work at either location (Sac & Fox Nation Casino in Stroud/The Black Hawk Casino in Shawnee), based on business needs.
  • Assists with other duties as assigned by management

1. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to troubleshoot and/or identify mechanical problems with games.
  • Ability to operate and perform repair on electronic games.
  • Ability to use computer and associated software.
  • Excellent communication skills and a friendly, outgoing personality required.
  • Must be a self-starter, motivated, versatile and responsible.
  • Basic Reading and writing skills
  • Multi-task oriented
  • Knowledge of workplace safety procedures

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • The ability to read English and understand either written or verbal instructions.
  • 1 – 2 years related experience preferred
  • Ability to work well with team members.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

  • Ability to read, write and speak in English.
  • Basic mathematical skills i.e., add, subtract, multiply and divide in all monetary units of measure.

Ability to apply principles of logical, commonsense thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret simple documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to respond to common inquiries from fellow Team Members or supervisors. Be able to read and understand on-going casino promotions and be able to explain promotions to customers if asked.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving, frequent changes, delays and unexpected events.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Ability to see problems and avoid situations that could be deemed to be illegal or represent a safety hazard to fellow Team Members or customers. The ability to follow complex instructions and ability to perform assigned tasks under limited supervision.
