Position:

Logistics Engineer


Job Description:

Support data analysis, design, and implementation of capital projects, cost savings/improvement solutions for the distribution center in the areas of personnel, programs, and equipment utilization. Develop processes, procedures and testing for business units and customers, generally for distribution and production centers. Create, maintain, and provide documentation. Understand process capabilities through critical data analysis and in-depth understanding of product variety within the warehouse, utilizing data administration tools for process optimization and operational improvements. Provide support for day-to-day warehouse operations, provide technical training – develop, update, and maintain instructional documents and process instructions to assist in operations within the facility. Manage project implementation of improvement solutions or new process/software introductions; identify areas to improve equipment, process, or personnel utilization. Monitor implemented solutions and present findings to appropriate management groups as needed. Update work instructions. Resolve processing issues, address process, design, construct, and debug operations and determine efficiency; respond to floor issues as circumstances dictate or calculate labor to operations. Support existing automation such as AGVs, conveyors, sorting and soring systems. Identify practical and innovative solutions to reduce complexity and waste within current and future processes.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Science, or related field and 3 years of experience as a Logistics Engineer, Validation Engineer, Data Analyst, or related occupation. Requires experience with the following skills: Statistical data analysis methods including mean, standard deviation, regression, hypothesis testing, and sample size determination, to enhance key metrics such as receiving, storing, picking, shipping rates, service level and processed lines per hour; Use and management of various material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet trucks, order pickers, manual and automated conveyance, with experience in vendor selection and equipment evaluation; Use of slotting software, Minitab or JMP, Python, AutoCAD, VBA/SQL, Visio, MS Project, SQL, R, and Power BI and experience applying these tools for data analysis, process optimization and operational improvements; and Developing and implementing engineered labor management systems and establishing engineering time standards to improve workforce efficiency and productivity within a distribution center environment.

We are offering a salary of $129,375 to $142,312 per year.
