Join ADAMA – A Global Leader in Crop Protection

Are you ready to lead a strategic finance transformation across a dynamic, international region? ADAMA is looking for a Regional Controlling Manager to oversee all accounting, tax, and treasury activities for our EMEA operations. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of our finance function while working in a flexible location across the EMEA region.

Based within a key ADAMA operating country: Madrid, Warsaw, Bucharest, Burgamo, Amsterdam, Reading, Paris, Cologne

About the Role

As part of our Global Finance Transformation, we are establishing a Regional Controlling Center of Expertise. This center will drive best-in-class financial operations and compliance for countries across the region.

In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Lead the regional implementation of the new controlling model
  • Define country-level support structures
  • Map existing processes and align them with global standards
  • Support training and development of local teams
  • Oversee operations post-implementation

You will report directly to the Regional Head of Finance (solid line) and work closely with the Global Controlling Manager (dotted line), leading country controlling teams and collaborating across tax and treasury functions.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and implement accounting, tax, and treasury policies and procedures across the region, ensuring compliance with local regulations and global standards.
  • Drive harmonization and consistency in financial practices across EMEA, including oversight of financial master data.
  • Lead statutory reporting teams in-country, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements in line with IFRS and local requirements.
  • Partner with Global Tax and Treasury to ensure local compliance and optimize cash flow across the region.
  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place and aligned with group standards (including SOX compliance).
  • Build and lead a high-performing Regional Controlling Team—hiring, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative, feedback-driven culture.

What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting (or equivalent); CPA or similar professional certification
  • Extensive experience in accounting and IFRS, ideally with leadership over regional or European finance teams
  • Background in a top-tier auditing firm within a relevant country or cluster is a strong advantage
  • Experience leading finance transformation or large-scale change initiatives is preferred
  • Deep knowledge of internal controls, compliance frameworks, and SOX
  • Fluent English is required; additional regional language(s) are a plus
  • Strong leadership, relationship-building, and process management skills

Join us in shaping a modern, efficient, and unified finance operation across EMEA. This is more than a role—it’s a career-defining opportunity to influence a global business through regional excellence.
