Job Summary: School Crossing Guard ($40/Day Stipend)

We are seeking a responsible and safety-conscious individual to serve as a School Crossing Guard. In this role, you will assist students, families, and other pedestrians in safely crossing 7th Street and Mantorville Avenue before and after class hours. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the safety of children and promoting traffic awareness in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely guide students and pedestrians across designated crosswalks.

• Monitor traffic and ensure vehicles yield or stop as required.

• Maintain a visible and professional presence at the intersection.

• Report unsafe driver behavior or hazardous conditions to school or local authorities.

• Follow all safety protocols and wear provided safety gear (vest, stop sign, etc.).

• Arrive punctually and consistently during scheduled shift times (typically morning arrival and afternoon dismissal).

Compensation:

• $40/day stipend ($20 for morning 7:30-8:30am, $20 for afternoon 2:45-3:45pm)

Qualifications:

• Must be reliable and punctual.

• Strong awareness of traffic safety.

• Ability to stand outdoors in varying weather conditions.

• Background check required and training provided.
