Forest Lake Area Schools is seeking caring and enthusiastic individuals to serve as Teaching Assistants in our Early Childhood Program for the 2025-2026 school year. Teaching Assistants play an essential role in supporting classroom instruction, promoting a positive learning environment, and helping young children develop foundational skills in a nurturing setting.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside early childhood educators to assist with daily classroom activities, support individual and small group learning, and help maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for preschool-aged children.
Any specific qualifications or licenses required?
Preferred:
Experience working with young children in an educational or care setting
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to take direction, collaborate with educators, and work as part of a team
Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in early childhood education
High school diploma or equivalent required
Additional information:
The starting rate of pay is $17.46 - $21.14. The rate of pay is subject to change based on the bi-annual review of the school board. Hours are 11:00am-2:00pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 12:15pm-2:00pm Tuesday and Thursday. These positions include benefits based on hours per the General Benefits Policy.
