Job Summary
The duration will be for approximately six months.
Under the direct supervision of Imelda Tenggara and Dr. Ding, the Biobank Lab Assistant II will be responsible for accessioning, inventorying, and organizing biospecimens into the database as well as the archival specimen storage; entering and managing database information and updates; and obtaining appropriate specimens for individual projects. In addition, the Lab Assistant II will work closely with Department of Urology to assist in an ongoing project to digitize pathology H&E slides in Urology for current and future research projects by obtaining appropriate specimens, cataloging and recording all information about specimens into the database, de-identifying and preparing slides, loading and unloading slides into the scanner, and performing quality control checks of the digital images.
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
