Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
  • Monitor and report changes in resident condition.
  • Ensure safety and comfort by maintaining a clean and organized environment.
  • Support residents with physical activities, such as ROM exercises and mobility assistance.
  • Accurately document care provided and observations.
  • Participate in training, quality improvement, and team collaboration.
Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Certification: Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or be willing to obtain certification within three months of hire.
  • Experience: Experience working with individuals with severe disabilities is preferred but not required.
  • Skills:
    • Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of others.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with colleagues, students, and families.
    • Strong attention to detail, especially in documentation and reporting.
    • Willingness to actively engage in physical and therapeutic activities, including mobility and pool programs.
    • Commitment to respecting the dignity and human rights of all individuals under your care.
    • Commitment to ongoing education and training (12 hours of continuing education annually).
    • Physical capability to meet the demands of the role, including lifting and assisting residents.
