Responsibilities
- Administer group benefits programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, FSA/HSA/HRA, and 401(k).
- Serve as a resource for team members as primary point of contact for benefit- and leave-related inquiries and resolve routine issues with a high level of service and professionalism.
- Support open enrollment cycle including communication, system testing, audits, and file feed transfers.
- Collaborate with Payroll and external vendors to ensure accurate benefit deductions and enrollments.
- Lead the audit and reconciliation process and maintain benefit plan documentation for compliance with relevant laws and regulations, i.e. ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA.
- Review and reconcile monthly invoices from carriers and vendors.
- Serve as liaison with benefits administrator, collaborate with external vendors and insurance providers to optimize benefits offerings.
- Coordinate FMLA, Leave of Absence, and Worker’s Compensation filings, reports, compliance, and correspondence with applicable agencies, carriers, and providers.
- Assist with wellness initiatives, benefits communications, and new hire onboarding.
- Implement HRIS workflow strategies to drive operational efficiency and program administration.
- Support talent acquisition (TA) and management of the applicant tracking system (ATS), including review of job descriptions and job postings.
- Coordinate the TA and ATS scheduling, interviewing, and HRIS workflow cycles, and be fully engaged in the new hire onboarding program.
- Review and process unemployment claims and prepare documentation for hearings.
- Support and coordinate employee engagement initiatives that drive recognition, appreciation, and sense of belonging. Other duties as assigned and needed to support the continued operations of EMS.
- Support the EMS Quality Policy and Quality Objectives.
Requirements
- ·Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred – Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong communication skills for effectively interacting with employees and vendors.
- 2–4 years of experience in benefits, leave administration, and applicant tracking systems.
- Working knowledge of benefits laws and regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ACA).
- Experience with HRIS and benefits enrollment systems.
- Basic understanding of payroll, time and attendance, compensation, and performance management cycle
Restrictions
- Ability to bend, stoop, grip, reach and lift up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Ability to access and navigate an active production and manufacturing work facility.
