Material Handler Job Description
The Warehouse Stock Clerk is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing equipment, materials, and supplies. This role involves managing inventory using Epicor manufacturing software and operating forklifts to move products and materials safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, previous experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Material Handler Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months of related experience/training preferred.
- Valid forklift driver’s license (or willingness to obtain one).
- Ability to read and follow simple instructions and safety procedures such as PPE
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to keep accurate stock records and update inventory
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Common sense problem-solving in routine situations.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.; occasionally lift/move up to 100 lbs. (team lift)
- Must have good vision (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment).
- Able to work in a loud environment with extreme seasonal temperatures
