1. African American Cinema

Qualifications:  Terminal degree in Film or related field from an accredited school

At least two to three years teaching experience and a willingness to teach a variety of Film courses. A record of relevant industry experience or project-based learning initiatives is highly desirable. A record of published research in peer-reviewed journals relating to African-American Film is desirable.

Duties and responsibilities:   Engage in scholarship in the areas of curriculum/course development, active research, and quality service. Teach African-American Cinema classes in Film (preferred courses). Engage with students by advising Film clubs/organizations, national competitions, and student-run activities on campus; Assist with university and community service consistent with the mission of Dillard University.

 2. Cinematography and Directing 

Qualifications Terminal degree in Film or related field from an accredited school.
