Control Risks is hiring a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Global Director to build out an international GSOC program for a major client. This position will oversee the planning and implementation of a GSOC with operations in the US, EMEA, and APAC including the design of the physical space, creation of governance, and organization of resources.

We are seeking an experienced GSOC Manager who has built out similar programs for multi-national companies based in NYC.

  • Oversee the development and growth of the Client’s GSOC program, ensuring that monitoring, escalation and response capabilities are best in class and aligned with real-time threats and incidents that may impact operations or personnel on a regional or site-specific basis.
  • Lead multiple Global Operations Centers and Teams across geographies and ensures consistent quality standards while building a highly inclusive culture to ensure team members thrive.
  • Own the technology and process supporting the GSOCs. Develops requirements for and continuously looks to improve all aspects to serve better customer experience and team’s efficient delivery.
  • Partner with leadership to address security requirements and concerns. Ensure operational support for GSOC team and consistent and reliable security oversight for all locations.
  • Manage senior-level client interaction and serves as point of escalation for GSOC team leaders.
  • Establish internal liaisons both at headquarters and operational locations who can help foster timely and efficient exchange of risk-related information.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with intelligence and law enforcement agencies and industry-related counterparts involved in the collection, evaluation and distribution of security information.
  • Identify negative trends evident through the analysis of security incidents and suspicious activity logs and advise management of suggested responses.
  • Handle special projects, as assigned. 

Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in managing private-sector or government security programs and operations with demonstrated knowledge of security analysis, intelligence, risk assessments and planning.
  • 5+ years of direct experience in a leadership and people management role.
  • Previous work experience in leading a global operations centre in a commercial or corporate setting, including managing associated technology and processes.
  • Experience or training in developing and recommending policy, organising, and carrying out specific programs, as well as evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations
  • Experience in building and managing multi-cultural dispersed teams and implementing large-scale changes globally
  • Flexibility in work schedule/ability to respond to after-hour or extended events.
  • Experience in corporate environment with skills in influencing senior management.
  • Superior report writing and oral presentation skills.

The salary range for this position based in NYC is $170,000-$190,000.  Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
