Now Hiring: Bar Support Staff
Location: Moxy Springfield Downtown

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests, manage waiting lists, and provide menus.
  • Answer questions, take reservations, and assign tables with balanced server rotation in mind.
  • Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction and respond to complaints professionally.
  • Maintain full bar and service area stock, including beer, wine, spirits, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
  • Refill ice wells, change beer kegs, and replenish supplies (napkins, stir sticks, coasters, etc.).
  • Assist with juicing, cutting garnishes, running food, clearing tables, and cleaning glassware/utensils.
  • Keep bar, counters, and surrounding areas clean and organized; mop spills, unclog sinks, and move tables as needed.
  • Demonstrate thorough menu knowledge and comply with all liquor laws and health regulations.
  • Support team member recognition and engagement programs.
  • Report to scheduled shifts on time, in uniform, and ready to work.
  • Embrace O’Reach, Green Team, Guest Service, Team Member Satisfaction, Health & Wellness, and Safety culture.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work well under pressure.
  • Pleasant, polite, professional, and team-oriented demeanor.
  • Ability to work effectively with a variety of personalities while maintaining tact and diplomacy.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year of barback, bartending, hosting, or relevant hospitality experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Certification to serve alcohol as required by state/local laws.
  • This is a safety-sensitive position and may be subject to additional safety requirements.

Hours:

  • Schedule varies; must be available nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Light work: exerting up to 40 lbs occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and negligible force constantly.
  • Frequent walking, standing, lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • May lift over 40 lbs on occasion.

Environmental Conditions:

  • Primarily indoors with protection from weather, but not necessarily temperature changes.
