Summary: The G4M Production Assistant will support the production process of large format printing projects, ensuring high-quality outputs, efficient workflows, and timely delivery.

Schedule3rd Shift-Primary schedule will be 9:30 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday – Thursday, or similar, based on business needs. This is an on-site position requiring the employee to be present physically.  Training may occur at other times.

Salary Range: $19.00 Hourly

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Assist in the operation of large format printers, ensuring machines are properly set up, calibrated, and functioning efficiently to meet production goals.
  • Perform routine maintenance and cleaning on large format printers to ensure optimal performance and reduce the risk of mechanical issues.
  • Identify and help resolve equipment or production issues by assisting with basic troubleshooting, minimizing downtime and ensuring consistent output quality.
  • Review job orders to determine print specifications such as quantity, stock type, ink colors, and special instructions, ensuring all production parameters are followed accurately.
  • Complete and maintain required documentation, including production logs, maintenance records, quality checklists, and job order forms in accordance with operational procedures.
  • Shadow and support G4M Operators to gain a comprehensive understanding of print production workflows and equipment handling best practices.
  • Regularly perform general housekeeping duties in your work area(s)
  • Adhere to all safety policies and protocols and maintain a safe working environment
  • Attend all department/company meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

 

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCES: 

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalency, preferred.
  • One (1) to three (3) months related experience in a manufacturing environment.

 

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges, such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality. Ability to adapt to new printing technologies or changes in production schedules, ensuring smooth operations despite changes.
  • Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. Organizing workflows, preparing materials in advance, and optimizing print runs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to ensure all details, such as color accuracy, image sharpness, and print placement, meet the required standards. Detecting small defects or inconsistencies during production and taking corrective action immediately.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.
  • Strong foundational math skills, with the ability to perform basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in managing time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately
