Tooling Engineer Intern

 

As a Tooling Engineer Intern you will focus on the testing, and optimization of electronic controllers and power tools. This internship offers hands-on experience in embedded systems, motor control, torque calibration, tool performance analysis, and repair.  

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of control systems for DC electric tools, battery torque tools, pneumatic tools.

 

  • Support the testing and validation of controllers used in fastening and torque management applications.

 

  • Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to aid in product improvement and repair.

 

  • Trouble shooting hardware and software issues in motors, controllers, transducers, measurement cards, and servos.

 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Service Engineers, Repair Technicians, and Coordinators.

 

  • Contribute to documentation, including test procedures, reports, and technical specifications.

 

  • Review ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Calibration Procedures 

 

  • Entering repair data into an ERP system

 

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of tool mechanics and repair processes
  • Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair machinery
  • Ability to read & understand technical manuals

 

  • Strong mechanical and electrical skills

 

  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards
  • Must be able to lift up to/over 20 pounds.
