Tooling Engineer Intern
As a Tooling Engineer Intern you will focus on the testing, and optimization of electronic controllers and power tools. This internship offers hands-on experience in embedded systems, motor control, torque calibration, tool performance analysis, and repair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the troubleshooting and repair of control systems for DC electric tools, battery torque tools, pneumatic tools.
- Support the testing and validation of controllers used in fastening and torque management applications.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret test data to aid in product improvement and repair.
- Trouble shooting hardware and software issues in motors, controllers, transducers, measurement cards, and servos.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Service Engineers, Repair Technicians, and Coordinators.
- Contribute to documentation, including test procedures, reports, and technical specifications.
- Review ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Calibration Procedures
- Entering repair data into an ERP system
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Knowledge of tool mechanics and repair processes
- Proficient in using hand tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair machinery
- Ability to read & understand technical manuals
- Strong mechanical and electrical skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Outstanding organizational abilities with a focus on maintaining high-quality standards
- Must be able to lift up to/over 20 pounds.
