Primary Responsibilities
· Accountable for the documentation and validation of staff training at Three Crosses Regional Hospital.
· Provides curriculum development in collaboration with measured outcomes affecting patient care.
· Provides initial and ongoing training.
· Provides visible mentoring, relevant education, and training opportunities for direct care employees.
· Provides support and structure to clinical informatics and coordinates initial and ongoing education.
· Creates a safe environment and tools needed to learn to perform jobs comfortably and competently.
· Continually evaluating knowledge, skills, competency, and professional satisfaction.
· Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates educational activities planning for an assigned service or
population.
· Participates in the coordination and continuity of orientation programs, including preceptor programs.
· Develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans/programs, while utilizing methods, measurements,
and tools to evaluate achievement of learning goals.
· Determines effective education and training methods to assess, reassess, and evaluate specific job
competencies for direct care employees.
· Plans and implements Annual Mandatory Core Competency Education and Training.
· Makes Continuing Education and Training opportunities available to direct care employees.
· Assists in developing an annual clinical education plan for approval by the CNO.
· Annual evaluation of the clinical education program
· Attend staff meetings as requested.
· Other duties as assigned.
License/Certification(s)
· Required: Current Registered Nursing License to practice in the State of NM
· Required: Current BLS certification.
· Required: Current ACLS certification
