We are looking for someone who is excited to support and connect with families by hosting a monthly family night and communicating with families about upcoming activities and events. WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION
This posting is for four (4) part time limited positions. Work will coincide with the Juneau School District calendar. Two position will be based primarily at Cedar Park in Douglas and two will be based at Geneva Woods in DouglasPosition Duties
You will be helping us run grant funded afterschool program! In this position you will be working directly with youth, providing on-site programming 10-15 hours a week at either Geneva Woods or Cedar Park. This will include monthly family nights, field trips, and ongoing support of youth. The position is responsible for creating an overall safe and engaging space for youth.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Graduation from high school or the equivalent;
AND
First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of appointment; and, any combination of work experience or post-secondary education totaling six (6) months in any field.
Substitute:
Two (2) courses from an accredited college in a human related field may substitute for experience
A valid drivers license at time of appointment is preferred but not required.
Note:
Under Alaska Statute 12.62.160 (9) Appointments to this position are offered conditionally, pending the results of a criminal records report (Non-FBI). Human Resources evaluates the results to ensure the applicant does not have any convictions that result in a direct nexus to the primary duties involving supervising minors. Applicants who materially misrepresent any information provided in the employment process will be excluded from further consideration or may be dismissed if already employed.
