About the Department
- Support the Vice President in the planning, coordination, and execution of fundraising strategies that advance the University's mission, vision, and strategic priorities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of development functions, including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, and donor stewardship
- Supervise and mentor assigned staff within the Office of Institutional Advancement
- Partner with deans, faculty, and university leaders to develop case statements and fundraising initiatives in support of academic programs, scholarships, and capital projects
- Collaborate with the Office of Alumni Relations to enhance alumni engagement and participation in university events, giving campaigns, and volunteer activities
- Assist in managing a portfolio of high-level donors and prospects, conducting donor visits, and preparing proposals and stewardship reports
- Monitor fundraising progress and ensure key performance metrics and goals are met or exceeded
- Coordinate with the Office of Marketing and Communications to create advancement-related content and campaigns that enhance the University's visibility and reputation
- Represent the Office of Institutional Advancement at University events, board meetings, alumni functions, and community engagements
- Ensure compliance with all University, state, and federal policies and ethical standards related to fundraising
Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution, five years or more of fundraising experience, including direct solicitation experience, preferably in higher education, demonstrated success in strategic planning, project management, and interdepartmental coordination required.
