Broomfield is hiring for Gymnastics Instructor III
The Gymnastics Instructor/Coach 3 specializes in instruction for the sport of gymnastics for the Parent Tot groups through the Optional Competitive team level to participants ranging in ages from 1.5 to 17 years. Instructors maintain a safe and welcoming environment for the participants while following the protocol given to them by the Supervisor. The Instructor/Coach will assist the Supervisor in creating the lesson plans and ensure each participant has an enjoyable experience while learning about the sport of gymnastics. The Coach models the appropriate behavior/characteristics to promote a positive work environment.
Gymnastics programs run Monday to Friday in the mornings, and evenings, as well as on weekends.
Salary Range: $17.70 - $23.94 /hour
All employees receive a FREE pass to Broomfield Recreation Facilities
Position Duties

Teaches class content appropriate to the class description and appropriate level of skill to each participant.
Demonstrates gymnastics techniques as required by each level.
Follows and enforces safety rules and regulations in the gym.
Set up and take down equipment as needed.
Evaluates participants on skill development, and provides feedback to participants and parents.
Provide coaching during competitive meets, assist Supervisor in preparation of hosting meets
Attend scheduled meetings/trainings as required.
Assist Supervisor in hosting competitions, and with staff trainings.
Periodically manage the gymnastics center, participants and staff
Minimum Qualifications
Education
No education requirements
Experience
2 years experience teaching gymnastics required.
Experience teaching Compulsory routines.
Training
Must be willing to learn Compulsory routines and attend Gymnastics Instructor spotting clinics.
Must be willing to attend Advanced Optional Clinics.
Must be willing to become CARA safety certified.
Must be willing to learn the City and County of Broomfield’s registration program.
NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry.
Must be 17 years of age.
Must possess a First Aid/CPR certification within 90 days of hire, and maintained for continued employment.

Must provide a safe and enjoyable environment for the participant during instruction which includes a full range of physical abilities including: performing and maintaining aerobic exercise, bending, stretching, and lifting minimal weight.
Required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or equipment.
Required to hear; stand; bend or twist from the upper body; use hands and/or feet to perform manual tasks such as spotting; reach with hands and arms; squat; and climb or balance.
Visual abilities including close, distant, depth, peripheral are required.
