The Technology Department is looking for a Technical Program Manager for the Agile Portfolio Office Team. In this hybrid-remote position, you will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of complex, cross-functional technology programs. You will be working closely with people throughout the organization to ensure that all requirements, deadlines, and schedules are on track and in alignment with our corporate strategy. Responsibilities include establishing project deliverables, effective communication plans, preparing status reports, and executing on said plans. You will help manage your teams OKRs and identify gaps in existing processes and update them or design new processes where needed.
To be a successful candidate, this role requires technical acumen, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and the ability to align teams around a shared vision. You will be the connective tissue across Technology Department to ensure timely and successful program outcomes.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical aptitude for picking up new technologies
- Understanding of program management theory
- Leadership – facilitate the definition of the program vision and ensure OKRs are defined to measure success of vision
- Inspires, mentors, and informally leads other project and program managers
- Ability to advise business owners of recommended contractual commitments to facilitate project and program management
- Analytical and technical problem-solving skills: Understands what, when, and how to ask questions and analyze a problem, system, process, or data. Identifies existing or potential issues/risks and solutions for them.
- Organizational and project management skills: Able to see the overarching goal or desired end-state/solution and break it down into smaller logical pieces. Able to organize and manage many moving pieces.
- Skilled communicator: Understands and adjusts the communication method/channel to use based upon the specific stakeholder, task, or information. Able to communicate technical information in a way that technical and non-technical individuals understand. Communicates the right type and amount of information to the right people at the right times.
- Collaborative: Works well with individuals and stakeholders of any level across the organization. Disseminates information to all pertinent stakeholders and partners. Ensures the right people are in the room for any given conversation or decision.
- Customer Service and stakeholder management: Able to understand end-user and business needs, identify pain points, and deliver solutions that balance the needs and interests of a variety of stakeholders. Ability to influence and gain buy-in and/or cooperation/resources from stakeholders. Identifies stakeholders and involves, informs, and/or coordinates with them as appropriate.
- Requirements gathering: Ability to elicit, document, and translate system/process requirements. Ensures planned solutions/work meets desired outcomes.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products
- Proficiency with documentation and ticketing software (e.g. Jira and Confluence) to document, track, and communicate status of work/requests
- Simple business case development
- Ability to prepare and give presentations to large audiences
