The Coordinator of Marketing and Mission Advancement directly supports Blessed Sacrament Catholic School’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality Catholic education rooted in faith, community, and academic excellence. By strengthening recruitment strategies, increasing access to tuition assistance through the ESA Program, and supporting grant acquisition efforts, this position contributes to the school’s long-term sustainability and impact in the local community.
Position Overview.
The Coordinator of Marketing and Mission Advancement serves a vital role in advancing the mission of Blessed Sacrament Catholic School through strategic recruitment, family engagement, community outreach, and development support. This part-time position works directly with the Principal to increase student enrollment and retention, improve access to Catholic education, and support the financial sustainability of the school through grant writing and donor engagement.
With the introduction of the Education Savings Account (ESA) Program beginning in the upcoming school year, the Coordinator of Marketing and Mission Advancement will also help guide families through the application and implementation process, ensuring equitable access to tuition support and student resources.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication is highly preferred to serve the diverse linguistic and cultural needs of our community.
Core Responsibilities
Mission Advancement and Community Engagement
- Model Gospel values and the teachings of the Catholic Church in all professional interactions.
- Actively promote the value of Catholic education in parishes, community groups, and local events.
- Serve as a welcoming and culturally responsive representative of the school for prospective families and community partners, providing bilingual (English/Spanish) support as needed.
- Collaborate with the Principal to design and implement a public relations and marketing strategy that enhances school visibility and enrollment.
Student Recruitment, Retention, and ESA Program Support
- Guide families through the admissions process, providing clear, timely, and compassionate communication.
- Support planning and implementation of recruitment events, including open houses, student shadow days, school fairs, and parish visits.
- Coordinate with the Principal to develop and distribute recruitment and retention materials (e.g., flyers, brochures, videos, social media content).
- Assist families with navigating the Education Savings Account (ESA) Program, including determining eligibility, supporting applications, and communicating program benefits.
- Track ESA-related participation and ensure families have ongoing support through the enrollment process.
- Partner with school staff to develop retention-focused programming that strengthens relationships with current families.
- Facilitate the high school transition process for middle school families, including coordination with Catholic high schools.
Data Management and Communication
- Maintain accurate records in the FACTS database and generate regular reports on enrollment, retention, and ESA participation.
- Analyze enrollment trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Draft and manage external communications, including newsletters, website content, email campaigns, and social media updates.
- Support the Principal in the creation and distribution of bilingual materials for family and community communications.
Grant Writing and Development Support
- Identify grant opportunities aligned with the school’s mission and enrollment goals.
- Collaborate with the Principal to draft, submit, and manage grant proposals, reports, and donor communications.
- Assist in coordinating fundraising initiatives and school advancement efforts related to enrollment and tuition assistance.
- Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines, proposals, and stewardship activities.
- Help ensure proper tracking and reporting of grant-funded activities and measurable outcomes.
Collaboration and School Support
- Work closely with the Principal to align enrollment and advancement efforts.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of student and family data.
- Assist with general administrative tasks and special projects as assigned by the Principal.
- Participate in Archdiocesan training and professional development sessions related to enrollment management, grant writing, or Catholic school advancement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, ideally in Education, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is highly preferred.
- Experience in enrollment management, community outreach, education, or nonprofit development.
- Strong writing skills, particularly in grant writing and persuasive communications.
- Proficiency with digital tools such as Canva, FACTS, Google Suite, and social media platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.
