What You’ll Do:
- Get hands-on experience in various roles, from sterile resources to patient handling and recovery
- Assist veterinarians with medical treatments, procedures, and patient monitoring
- Provide compassionate, high-quality veterinary nursing care while ensuring a positive client experience
- Develop skills in patient handling, medical terminology, injections, phlebotomy, and more
- Maintain and update patient records with accuracy
- Educate pet guardians on post-care instructions and the importance of preventive health care
- Work collaboratively with a team that values diversity, inclusivity, and mentorship
- Keep work areas safe, clean, and organized while adhering to all safety guidelines

Requirements
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience as a veterinary assistant is not required, but previous experience in animal handling preferred (dog daycare, grooming, dog training, etc).
- Certification in sterile processing (e.g., CRCST) is a plus but not required
- Part-Time or Full-time hours available
- Passion for veterinary medicine and animal welfare
- Ability to handle animals in a safe, humane, and effective manner
- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Team player who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute
- Computer literacy and ability to use veterinary software
- College coursework in animal-related sciences is a plus!
Salary & Benefits
The starting salary for this position depends on the depth and breadth of experience. The expected range is $25.00 - $27.00 per hour. Regular, full-time positions are eligible for a benefits package including:
