Fantastic permanent opportunity! We a seeking an experienced Ingredients Planner to be responsible for the accurate planning, forecasting and delivery of ingredients to meet customer expectations.  This includes the ordering/forecasting of bulk and micro ingredients and arranging the freight for grains, bulk and Micro ingredients for the site. The role also encompasses all the SAP ordering, reconciliations and stock management for raw ingredients.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execution of Feedmill Production Plan: Ensure that the Feed mill is operating to produce agreed levels of finished product within agreed specifications.
  • Operational Execution: Monitor production capacity to ensure efficiency and not limiting demand that may cause ingredients run outs.
  • Safety: Identification and timely reporting of all incidents, near misses and hazards. Actively participate in site safety initiatives, toolbox talks, safety walks and training.
  • Quality: Ensure all quality procedures and good manufacturing practices are applied within the area. Participate in HACCP reviews and GMP audits.
  • Monthly reporting: Compile monthly operations performance report for site review (Ingredients, Logistics, COR).
  • Internal control: Ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage stock (FP, Raw Materials and GKN pallets).

 

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will have excellent time management, planning and organisational skills with an attention to detail. If you are a strong collaborator with ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders and enjoy being “boots on ground” then this role is for you!

 

You will have:

  • High School Certificate.
  • Industry knowledge of Agriculture, Commerce, Business, or similar discipline.
  • Manufacturing/Industry exposure - 2 years + broad financial & operational experience covering production, raw material procurement, logistics / warehousing etc.
  • Continuous Improvement experience, including implementing a continuous improvement culture and systems.
  • Experience using SAP and Excel.
  • Tertiary qualification in Manufacturing or Engineering related discipline. Desirable
  • Stockfeed / Agri experience. Desirable.
  • FMCG Industry experience. Desirable.
  • Project management experience. Desirable.
  • Experience with and affinity for regional Australia and agriculture. Desirable.
