Job Description:The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial statement preparation, and performing core accounting functions. This position ensures adherence to company policies and accounting standards while contributing to the financial reporting process for assigned business units. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with a strong commitment to process improvement and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee end-to-end Accounts Receivable activities for all business units, including customer payment posting, account reconciliations, chargeback resolution, and variance analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely close processes
- Prepare and post journal entries, perform account analysis, and maintain balance sheet reconciliations across assigned entities
- Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations and recharges
- Complete IRS Form 8300 reporting in accordance with regulatory deadlines
- Support monthly close by ensuring timely and accurate reporting of financial data, including trial balances, reconciliations, and audit schedules
- Investigate and explain account variances to support financial reviews and reporting accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and accuracy of financial data
- Assist with internal and external audit requests and documentation
- Support ad hoc reporting and analysis to inform business decisions
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-train across accounting functions
- BS in Accounting is required
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience
- Strong working knowledge with a major ERP system
- Intermediate level of proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Desire to learn and adapt continuously, challenge the status quo
- Self-motivated, able to work under pressure while consistently meeting deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Skilled at prioritizing and managing multiple projects, taking initiative, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
