Starting Pay Rate: Per Adjunct Faculty Pay Scale

Schedule Information: Must be available to teach class that runs from September 15-December 12, 2025, and is scheduled Monday and Wednesday from 6:15pm until 9:10pm

The number of adjunct instructors hired varies from semester to semester, depending upon the needs of the department. Your application can remain "Under Review by Committee" for 18 months. You may check your status at any time by logging into jobs.harpercollege.edu with your username and password.
Job Description: Teach programming courses in C, C++, Java, and Intel assembly language from basic to intermediate. All courses except assembly language taught in a Unix-like environment.
Education Requirements: A Master's degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 18 semester hours in graduate-level computer science or related courses. To be determined by the full-time faculty in the Department of Computer Science.
Experience Requirements: C++ and *nix experience required. Two years of teaching experience preferred. Java experience a plus. Online teaching experience beneficial. Face-to-face teaching might be required for particular classes.
