About the Department
The Inventory Clerk maintains inventory and disburses supplies and materials in the Liogue Senior Center.
Position Duties
- Receive stock and issue materials and supplies; verify incoming shipments for appropriate quantity and quality.
- Inventory materials and supplies; report replacement needs; establish minimum/maximum stock levels and monitor stock levels based on usage and lead-time.
- Maintain files; compile records of supply transactions; post supplies issued; prepare quarterly and yearly performance reports.
- Order materials and supplies; determine proper stock levels for items.
- Provide follow-up on all orders to insure delivery schedules.
- Prepare reports and recommends options for defective or unusable items.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level as requested by supervisor or director.
Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge of:
- Inventory control procedures;
- Records management and basic accounting procedures;
- Business writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation;
- Yaqui culture, customs, resources and traditions and/or a willingness to learn.
Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Interact and maintain good working relationships with individuals of varying social and cultural backgrounds;
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing;
- Follow written and verbal instructions;
- Handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines;
- Lift and move heavy and large objects;
- Provide effective, efficient services to elders;
- Operate a variety of office equipment, including a computer and related software applications;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with co-workers, supervisor, management, Council members, and the public. Have ability to sufficiently exchange or convey information and receive verbal and written work instructions.
Other Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of inventory, stocking, or related; and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
Special Requirements:
- Must have a Food Handlers Card or obtain a card within the first three (3) months of hire;
- Must possess and maintain a valid Arizona Driver's License;
- This position will require the incumbent to work non-traditional hours, nights, and weekends;
- Must have a current Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card or be able to obtain the Level 1 Arizona Clearance Card within ninety (90) days of hire. Failure to maintain a current Level 1 Clearance Card will result in termination.
