Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel is looking for a Facility Manager to join team! The Facility Manager is responsible for the smooth and efficient operation of the maintenance and housekeeping department at the property.
Bay Shoes Peninsula Hotel, a boutique gem on the Balboa Peninsula is reopening in Fall 2025! Nestled along the golden shores of Newport Beach, Bay Shores Peninsula Hotel offers a laid-back idyllic retreat away from the everyday hustle and bustle. Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel
Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team
Supervise the interior and exterior maintenance and housekeeping needs of the entire
Corrective, preventative and emergency maintenance to maintain property in safe and attractive
Documentation of all mandatory, ongoing, room preventative
Schedule and assign duties to maintenance
Ensure that tools and equipment are functional and in safe working
Maintain records of types and frequency of
Make approved purchases of supplies, equipment and
Maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment.
Conduct regular safety inspections of the property and actively participate in the Hotel’s Safety Committee.
Manage and maintain required certifications and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations relating to health and safety.
Train and supervise maintenance
Be proficient at all housekeeping systems and processes.
Direct the housekeeping team and act as a liaison between housekeeping team and General Manager
Clean guestrooms to Company standards.
Follow Company policy for room amenities.
Turn items left in guestrooms into Lost & Found.
Maintain complete security of keys checked out.
Report any maintenance/housekeeping items that need immediate attention.
Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
Thorough knowledge of power, water, and gas turnoffs, plumbing cleanouts, fire
Ensure maintenance of exterior lighting, gutter cleaning, walkways, parking areas, trash enclosures and common area
Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the
Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by

Supervisory Responsibility: Responsible for supervision of maintenance department.
Independent Judgment Used: Frequently within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within Company policies and procedures.
Working Conditions/Environment: Entire interior and exterior of property, storage area, maintenance shop, pool equipment room. Working with small tools, chemicals and paints.
Qualifications:
Knowledge/Education/Experience: Minimum of two (2) years hotel experience as a maintenance department supervisor or progressive maintenance responsibility. Working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, dry wall, screening, locks, HVAC, pool/spa care. Proper tool and chemical use.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements: English speaking or bilingual. Ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work assignments. Supervision and training skills. Ability to maintain good team member relations. Ability to direct performance of team members and follow-up with corrective action where needed. Valid driver’s license with proof of auto liability insurance. Good driving record. Dependable.
Physical Requirements: Frequent walking, standing, climbing stairs and ladders. Repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, crawling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting/maneuvering/carrying heavy items up to 50 lbs. unassisted or with use of dolly. Exposure to chemicals.

Salary Range: $68,640 to $70,000/annually
