We are seeking a Construction Site Supervisor 1 (CSS1) to oversee and coordinate residential construction and rehabilitation projects. Key Responsibilities
- Project Oversight: Supervise and coordinate all aspects of assigned home builds, ensuring adherence to schedules, building codes, and quality standards.
- Volunteer & AmeriCorps Leadership: Train, supervise, and motivate volunteers and AmeriCorps members, creating a safe, productive, and positive work environment.
- Subcontractor Coordination: Schedule and oversee paid subcontractors to ensure quality, code compliance, and timely completion.
- Safety Management: Maintain a safe job site, complete weekly safety reports, and address hazards promptly.
- Materials & Logistics: Request and track materials, verify deliveries, and manage inventory for each project.
- Community Engagement: Serve as an ambassador for HFHD, fostering positive relationships with volunteers, sponsors, homeowners, and community partners.
- Documentation & Communication: Maintain build schedules, inspection checklists, and worklists; communicate regularly with the Construction Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR at least 2 years of experience in residential construction (Habitat AmeriCorps or staff experience preferred).
- Experience leading/supervising volunteers or work crews.
- Working knowledge of all aspects of residential construction (carpentry, roofing, siding, finishing, landscaping, etc.).
- Familiarity with North Carolina Building Code and local municipal codes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work with diverse groups and promote an inclusive environment.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable work vehicle.

Physical Requirements
