About the position
We transform customer service into customer care by providing a flexible work-at-home culture that attracts people with a passion for caring. If you are selected for this role, you would be accepting incoming calls from those that may be in distress from being affected by a natural disaster such as a hurricane, a flood, a tornado and so on. Most callers are in need of some type of immediate assistance, so it would be your role to accept the call and exercise your listening skills, show empathy and compassion no matter what the situation may be, noting their situation and needs and getting them approved resources for the help they are requesting, as well as directing them to near-by shelters or distribution centers and dispatching their calls to the appropriate team.
Requirements
- MUST BE BILINGUAL SPEAKING FLUENT ENGLISH AND SPANISH (fluency testing will be administered)
- Reside and legally able to work in the United States
- Passion for providing outstanding service
- Excellent verbal communication skills, including grammar and voice quality
- Ability to remain poised under pressure during back-to-back calls
- Proficient in using multiple computer applications quickly and efficiently
- Show empathy and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Strong documentation, data entry, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle detailed work with accuracy and speed
- Self-starter who maintains composure in various interactions
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Meet daily production standards and established goals
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Must pass a background check (paid for by us)
Job Details (what you will be doing)
- Answer incoming calls in a bilingual queue via computer software to assist those in immediate need
- Research information in databases to resolve customer issues
- Handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
- Demonstrate listening skills, empathy, and compassion to callers in need
Pay Rate
- $15.50 per hour (bilingual agent speaking fluent English and Spanish)
- Employee position
- We are paid biweekly via direct deposit
Shifts
- Must work at least 20 hours a week working at least 4 hours across the weekends
- Shifts selected in 1-hour increments
- Call center operates 24/7, with peak times from 8am to 8pm EST
Training
- Mandatory orientation: Monday August 25, 2025 Time: 11:00 am EST (30 minute session)
- Training: Monday August 25, 2025 Time: 12:30 pm EST (6 hours)
- Training via a virtual atmosphere (instructor led training)
- All mandatory events are paid events (orientation and training)
- Must be able to start immediately
Technical Requirements
- Laptop or Desktop Computer running Windows 11 (no Macs, Chromebooks, or Tablets)
- DSL or Cable internet (no wireless, satellite, cellular hotspot, or cellular internet)
- High-speed Internet via a hardwired Ethernet connection
- US-based Internet Service Provider (ISP)
- Installed, operational firewall
- USB headset with a mic and mute button (no wireless headsets)
